Local students help protect health care workers
Emanate Health is grateful to receive a generous donation of 200 face shields from Team 968 RAWC, the robotics team of West Covina High School.
For nearly 20 years, Team 968 RAWC has participated in robotics competitions and promoted science, technology, engineering and math among its members.
When the pandemic started, the students decided to produce face shields to donate to local health care providers since they already had the equipment and supplies. Located nearby, they included Emanate Health as one of the first to receive face shields.
“The protection of our health care workers equals the protection of the whole community,” said an incoming junior.
Team 968 RAWC is continuing to produce face shields to donate to organizations throughout Los Angeles County, while preparing for the upcoming school year and competitions.
