A good deed in Glendora: A Girl Scout troop donates books to help patients
A Girl Scout troop in Glendora generously donated books and a book cart for patients during their stay at Emanate Health Foothill Presbyterian Hospital.
“Many of our young ladies have been in hospitals and knew the importance of having books or other items to keep their minds busy,” said Jamie, a proud parent. “They found this was a rewarding project to help our local community."
The ladies were excited to tour the emergency department and meet the staff, but most of all they were happy to know that patients would now be able to take their minds off being in the hospital by escaping in a good book.
“We are very grateful for their kind and thoughtful gift to help patients during their stay here,” said Stephanie Whitt, unit manager of the emergency department and intensive care unit/critical care unit of Emanate Health Foothill Presbyterian Hospital.
