The 'healthy hospital' designation is reserved for select hospitals that demonstrate outstanding leadership in healthcare sustainability and overall hospital quality through single-use device (SUD) reprocessing. In 2017, these two facilities successfully diverted over 6,000 pounds of medical waste from 2 landfills and reduced its supply costs by $347,638 dollars.
With the first quarter of 2018 completed, Stryker says both hospitals are on track to beat out 2017 with an estimated $132,536 in savings.
