Autumn Nocturne
Nearly 400 guests stepped back in time to a 1920s, Prohibition-era “Speakeasy” at Emanate Health Foundation's 30th Annual Autumn Nocturne on October 19, 2019 at the Pacific Palms Resort to celebrate the impact of philanthropy benefiting Emanate Health. The event raised $347,000 in support of Emanate Health's programs and services.
We shared the journey of an 11-year-old boy, Adam Arambula, who suffered a sudden cardiac arrest while he was at school and received life-saving care in the Emergency Department at Queen of the Valley Hospital. His story helps to convey the need for expanded emergency care for our growing community.
We also honored the 2019 Emanate Health Physicians of the Year – Dr. Kevin Hua of Inter-Community Hospital, Dr. Chi Truong of Queen of the Valley Hospital and Dr. Sophia S. Kangarlu of Foothill Presbyterian Hospital – who were selected by their peers for providing exceptional patient care.
Special thanks to our generous sponsors, donors, volunteers and especially to the Autumn Nocturne planning committee led by Mary Jane Bettfreund, chairwoman of the event and past chairwoman of the Board of Trustees.
